about

This is the second instalment of Space Therapy Robinson tunes. Recorded around the same time as STR Vol 1, intended for a couple of different projects. They just didnt fit in with the idea I had for 'A Cloakroom Assembly' at the time, or as potential ideas for Scattered Order songs. I think this was mostly recorded at Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney. I would come home from the day job during the week; feeling harassed and lonely; yearning for the weekend to be back in Newcastle with the people I love (almost like a truckie lifestyle); wack together a mexican chicken salad; drink a bottle of cheap vodka (or something) and pump out the sounds. Sometimes they would resemble soundscapes or songs. Most of the 'songs' for Warp [Tee/Marshall] were also recorded during this period. So it's sort of a companion piece.
[June 2023]

PS. [December 2023] The more I listen to this one, it sounds like a descendent of my first ACRA releases n the early 1980s 'Tom Tom Tom' and 'Trace and Rumble'.

I would like to release this and STR 1 as a boxed set on vinyl or CD one day.
