about

This is YYC without Patrick, experimenting with Motown and 'Old time' feels. Chris Morrow from the pop band 'The Numbers' contributed some great guitar and a bit of Chuck Berry doodling. We did a few shows after this as sort of a hybrid YYC/Numbers thing, but then we went off in different directions. The recording sat around for a while, until John from Red Eye heard it and released it as a single on Red Eye Records in 1985 and it did really well on the Indie Charts. But by that stage Fiona and I had moved on and we thought it would be really funny to 'bring back the boogie' and had started channelling TMG, Hush, T.Rex and early Aerosmith into our songs. And Michael Filewood from the Systematics joined us on this journey.
