about

This song was the b-side of Two Lines, released in 1985 on Red Eye Records. I think of it as art damaged old time music. We recorded a whole lot of songs in this style during 1984, and Paul and Tony from the Reels / Brucelanders played around with us briefly as 'Zeetoons' to scathing reviews. We entered another song from this period 'Stop' in the Tokyo Song Festival that year. We didn't get any calls. White City is a lyrical collision between anti- racism, tennis and nuclear fallout.
